My Investment Focus

I’ve had the chance to invest in some incredible startups. My investing is mostly enterprise software and SaaS, with a bias toward products that become part of the operating system of a company, not just a nice to have tool.

I combine a technical foundation as a former engineer with hands on experience as a founder, operator, and investor. Today, I’m a Solutions Architect at OpenAI focused on Codex and coding agents, so I spend my time close to both the builder ecosystem and the real constraints of deploying AI in production.

At a high level, I’m especially excited to back founders building:

  • Developer tools that reshape how engineers work
  • Platforms that make AI reliable and measurable in production
  • Workflow agents that automate complex processes inside large enterprises

My edge is sitting between builders and enterprise reality. I see what developers adopt early, and I also see what enterprises can actually deploy, secure, and buy.

What I Typically Look for In A Startup

  • I invest in enterprise SaaS and category defining AI products
  • I focus on Seed, Seed extension, and Series A, and I’m especially interested in teams with a believable path to repeatable distribution
  • I look for a clear distribution wedge (developer bottoms up adoption, OSS and community pull, or deep workflow embedding into an existing system of record)
  • For SaaS, I look for early signs of traction and honesty around the numbers, including ARR scale, growth velocity, retention, expansion, and clear adoption within a target ICP
  • I’m drawn to moats that are more than “we use an LLM,” including workflow lock in, integrations, proprietary operating surface area, data and feedback loops, and governance or permission layers
  • I gravitate toward founder market fit, real technical depth, and crisp GTM thinking (who buys, why now, and how this becomes a budget line item)

What I Offer Startups

End to End Founder Perspective

As a former founder, I’ve built products and teams from scratch, owning everything from ideation and customer discovery to shipping, sales, hiring, and fundraising. I bring a hands on, practical mindset when founders are navigating ambiguity, tradeoffs, and speed versus quality decisions.

Founder Empathy and Peer Mentorship

I approach founders as peers. I’m here for the messy middle, clarifying priorities, pressure testing decisions, and helping teams stay grounded when timelines slip or the market shifts. The goal is guidance that is useful immediately, not abstract advice.

Full-Stack AI Operator Experience

With experience across Apple, Amazon, Scale AI, and OpenAI, I’ve seen what it takes to move AI from prototype to production, across engineering, product, security, and organizational change. I can help teams think through reliability, evals, guardrails, workflow integration, and the failure modes that show up at scale.

Enterprise Go-To-Market Playbooks

I’ve led go to market and sales motions at both startups and larger AI companies, turning pilots into durable deployments and building repeatable processes. I can help founders translate technical differentiation into a clear enterprise narrative, a tight ICP, and a motion that survives procurement, security review, and ROI scrutiny.

Investment Thesis

Agentic Dev and SDLC Stack

I believe the future of software development will be reshaped by agentic, AI native tooling, systems that do more than autocomplete. The best products will reliably plan, write, test, review, remediate, and integrate into real engineering workflows.

I’m excited by teams building products that embed directly into the SDLC and deliver measurable improvements in throughput and quality. I like platforms that integrate cleanly with existing DevOps stacks and create durable adoption through workflow lock in.

Examples of this shape in my portfolio include Replit, and Coframe.

Interested in partnering?

If you’re building in any of these areas and want a thoughtful early partner, I’d love to connect. I’m happy to help with product feedback, enterprise positioning, design partner intros where I can, and turning early traction into a repeatable motion.

Selected investments include Replit, Glean, Twelve Labs, Mercor, Corgi, Coframe, Judgment Labs, and others.
